Wit Kasperowicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Strömsbro IF. KS LEW Chorzów's Wit Kasperowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börge Kristiansson in the 20th minute of play. Wieslaw Maziarski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Ivar Albohm made a huge save. Mikolaj Budzynski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivar Albohm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Ivar Albohm made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Zachariasz Niedbalski sent off a good shot on target. When David Nyman fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Strömsbro IF's protests and gave David Nyman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, David Nyman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to KS LEW Chorzów getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Zachariasz Niedbalski hit a great ball. When Wieslaw Maziarski came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the KS LEW Chorzów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wieslaw Maziarski couldn't finish the play. Wit Kasperowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Nyman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Strömsbro IF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mikolaj Budzynski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind KS LEW Chorzów's goalkeeper Wit Kasperowicz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Strömsbro IF's Börge Kristiansson in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
