ZORZAL01's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ladislao Jaunzuria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Firmo in the 40th minute of play forced ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper Xabel Beloki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as ZORZAL01's Nicanor Fero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Xabel Beloki. That made the score 2-0 after 42 minutes of play. When Cugat Marines came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cugat Marines couldn't finish the play.

Ruperto Mendez replaced Baltazar Fonticoba. Xabel Beloki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Firmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin Firmo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Timoteo Dolcet kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Ruperto Mendez got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xabel Beloki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Fero in the 90th minute of the match.
