After a rather tough play, Here Comes the Hammer's Elof Åström got a free kick in the 8th minute. Helmuth Duckadam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Christoffersson in the 9th minute of play. After 12 played minutes RO Army V55 got a freekick which was hit by Fanis Kapernekas. A throw-in in the 17th minute of the game was made by Alexandros Papakrivas with Sokratis Symeonakis as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 20 played minutes Here Comes the Hammer got a freekick which was hit by Carlinhos Félix. In the 22nd minute Carlinhos Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmuth Duckadam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Helmuth Duckadam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlinhos Félix in the 24th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlinhos Félix in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helmuth Duckadam saved RO Army V55 from getting behind. Helmuth Duckadam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Christoffersson in the 33rd minute of play. Robert Christoffersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robert Christoffersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Helmuth Duckadam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valter Klack made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Fanis Kapernekas sent off a good shot on target. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerasimos Patsionidis was the one to do the kick off. Carlinhos Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robert Christoffersson might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Helmuth Duckadam. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robert Christoffersson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 54th minute Carlinhos Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmuth Duckadam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Robert Christoffersson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Helmuth Duckadam was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Here Comes the Hammer made a substitution. Lennart Zander replaced Elof Åström. Bukkus Bonk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Helmuth Duckadam made a huge save. Helmuth Duckadam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bukkus Bonk in the 83rd minute of the match. RO Army V55's Helmuth Duckadam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save RO Army V55 from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bukkus Bonk in the 87th minute of play forced RO Army V55's goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bukkus Bonk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, RO Army V55's Helmuth Duckadam got control of the ball when Bukkus Bonk tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Here Comes the Hammer booed when RO Army V55 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manos Komaitis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Here Comes the Hammer walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
