An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexei Caraman in the 19th minute of play forced RO Army V55's goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 minutes RO Army V55's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alexei Caraman who took care of the corner kick. Helmuth Duckadam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Vanghele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute UFC Puturoasa were awarded a corner. Alexei Caraman went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to UFC Puturoasa's Sandu Botnaru getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 31 minutes into the game, Pavel Spãtaru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UFC Puturoasa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RO Army V55 the free kick. The supporters of RO Army V55 booed when UFC Puturoasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Spãtaru didn't get a good kick on the ball.
