But to his dismay, Valentin Xacintu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Eguerdi in the 9th minute of play forced Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Rui Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Xacintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Ronaldo Ramos struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Americo Gimenez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Rui Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Xacintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. In the 47th minute Valentin Xacintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

TheBambiTooFurious played a much better game than Grêmio FBPA and deserved their victory. The Grêmio FBPA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
