Benedicto Quin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olav Øverby having to make a save. Brufoss IL's Olav Øverby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Quin in the 3rd minute of play. Benedicto Quins short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Olav Øverby to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Monte Lobato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor-Egil Arntsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Olav Øverby didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedicto Quin went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tor-Egil Arntsen in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Monte Lobato saved Tasso FC from getting behind. Tasso FC's Monte Lobato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenneth Foldnes in the 18th minute of play. Leif Mæhlum hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedicto Quin in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olav Øverby prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th match minute, Tasso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juca Tasso to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Tor-Egil Arntsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Monte Lobato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olav Øverby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Quin in the 32nd minute of play. Benedicto Quin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olav Øverby having to make a save. In the 36th minute, Benedicto Quin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olav Øverby was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Benedicto Quin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Olav Øverby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Quin, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benedicto Quin to make the kick off. Monte Lobato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bastian Ytterstad in the 51st minute of play. In the 51st match minute, Tasso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clarence Telebanco to maneuver through the defense. Tor-Egil Arntsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Monte Lobato made a huge save. After some careless play in the Brufoss IL defense, Benedicto Quin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olav Øverby. The Brufoss IL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olav Øverby should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute, Pinto Valer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pinto Valer charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pinto Valer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tor-Egil Arntsens short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Monte Lobato to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kenneth Foldnes got free with Monte Lobato in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brufoss IL's Eskil Almaas was substituted for Tore Fagermo. Brufoss IL made a substitution. Kevin Hægeland replaced Tor-Egil Arntsen. Tasso FC made a substitution. Chu Tasso replaced Benedicto Quin. Tasso FC's David Gilmour was substituted for Pinto Valer. A collision led to Brufoss IL getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Kevin Hægeland hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chu Tasso in the 82nd minute of play forced Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Olav Øverby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes in the game Karl Bergstrøm did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Eskil Almaas. 87 minutes into the game, Chu Tasso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Olav Øverby was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chu Tasso might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olav Øverby. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chu Tasso ran back to his position shaking his head. Chu Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Chu Tasso made a precise shot to the right of Olav Øverby. Brufoss IL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tasso FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Brufoss IL had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
