Catugi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sakura Storm the free kick. After 12 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Campidelis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeusz Dziechciowski in the 13th minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Sven-Edvin Skräddare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vinícius Juniors could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Sven-Edvin Skräddare made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Varela during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Tadeusz Dziechciowski made a precise shot to the right of Sven-Edvin Skräddare. Catugi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 32 minutes, Cássio Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catugi FC and the Sakura Storm players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sakura Storm booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Sakura Storm's Sacit Selmi seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sacit Selmi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sakura Storm protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sacit Selmi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Catugi FC were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Sakura Storm's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Artur Nunes took the corner. Karl-Oskar Odman tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Zakir Novruzov. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-2 in the 40th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nando de Alcântara to strike the kick off in the second half. Zak Tan hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute of the match Cássio Matos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zakir Novruzov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 61 played minutes Sakura Storm got a freekick which was hit by Tom Misaki. Sven-Edvin Skräddare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinícius Juniors, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After having played for 65 minutes, Tadeusz Dziechciowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sakura Storm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeusz Dziechciowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th match minute, Sakura Storm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zak Tan to maneuver through the defense. Tadeusz Dziechciowski's late challenge caught a Catugi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeusz Dziechciowski helped the player get up and apologised. 69 minutes into the match, Sakura Storm's goalkeeper Zakir Novruzov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nando de Alcântara. In the 75th match minute, Sakura Storm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zsolt Hubina to maneuver through the defense. Catugi FC's Sven-Edvin Skräddare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zsolt Hubina in the 80th minute of play. The supporters of Sakura Storm booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Leonel Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes, Sakura Storm's Marvelous Ronaldinho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sven-Edvin Skräddare came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sakura Storm reached it. Sakura Storm's Tadeusz Dziechciowski got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zsolt Hubina charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zsolt Hubina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sakura Storm's Zsolt Hubina got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 95th minute, Tadeusz Dziechciowski made a precise shot to the right of Sven-Edvin Skräddare. Catugi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Catugi FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
