The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Codrin Olaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Bernardo Corrêa made a huge save. Granicerul's Octavian Bebeșel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Trigo in the 7th minute of play. With a little luck, Vascogoianiense FC's Bernardo Corrêa got control of the ball when Codrin Olaru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anderson Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vascogoianiense FC's Bernardo Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebiu Ianculescu in the 13th minute of play. Bernardo Corrêa came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Granicerul's Costel Strungă. But to his dismay, Costel Strungă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Vascogoianiense FC's Bebeto Leal managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Paul Uduleanu in the 24 minute of the game. In the 24th minute, Hélder Trigo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Trigo in the 26th minute of play forced Granicerul's goalkeeper Octavian Bebeșel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavian Bebeșel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Cristi Găină hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Granicerul's Codrin Olaru slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bernardo Corrêa. That made the score 2-0 after 34 minutes of play. Manole Colin charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manole Colin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Manole Colin hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Granicerul's Octavian Bebeșel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Trigo in the 38th minute of play. Manuel Segovia's late challenge caught a Granicerul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Segovia helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vascogoianiense FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 41st minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 43 minutes, Granicerul's Laurențiu Ciociu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bernardo Corrêa. 46 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Corrêa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Codrin Olaru. Bernardo Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebiu Ianculescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

51 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebiu Ianculescu came free, but Bernardo Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octavian Bebeșel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anderson Valladares in the 54th minute of the match. Manuel Segovia hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Codrin Olaru in the 65th minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Laurențiu Ciociu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernardo Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebiu Ianculescu in the 70th minute of play. Vascogoianiense FC's Bernardo Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codrin Olaru in the 72nd minute of play. After 78 played minutes Vascogoianiense FC got a freekick which was hit by Dida Baiano. A well-hit corner resulted in 柯坤寒 heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 89 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Codrin Olaru came free, but Bernardo Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Vascogoianiense FC defense, Manole Colin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Corrêa. The Vascogoianiense FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Corrêa should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd match minute, Granicerul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristi Găină to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Gănescu hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vascogoianiense FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Granicerul.
