Yavuz-Sultan Selim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcus Rashford got free with Fernado Muslera in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Delmar Ignado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yavuz-Sultan Selim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th match minute, Kanalla F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Ahlin to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yavuz-Sultan Selim was the one to do the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Van Bombergen couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Kanalla F.C booed when 61 PIMMS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yavuz-Sultan Selim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kanalla F.C made a substitution. Ercüment Tanju replaced Marcus Rashford. After 63 played minutes 61 PIMMS FC got a freekick which was hit by Yavuz-Sultan Selim. Kanalla F.C's Conrado Mogel quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alessandro Costacurta, made in the 68th minute of the game. 73 minutes into the game, Yavuz-Sultan Selim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Delmar Ignado. In the 92nd minute Ercüment Tanju shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernado Muslera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The 61 PIMMS FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 61 PIMMS FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
