Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ken Goffeyn started the match with the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Luan de Sousa put in a rough tackle. 10 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's goalkeeper João Pedro Rodrigues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo van Beek. A nice corner shot did that Fabrice Bracke got away a dangerous shot. Despite this João Pedro Rodrigues quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 15 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's goalkeeper João Pedro Rodrigues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matthew Gijselinx. Joinville United - FSCMZ's João Pedro Rodrigues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Joinville United - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. After 18 minutes, Gugu Ortiz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Joinville United - FSCMZ and the Beek City players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, Gugu Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 played minutes Joinville United - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Velasco. Fabrice Bracke shot from long distance in the 20th minute, but João Pedro Rodrigues was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 21st minute, Matthew Gijselinx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo van Beek got free with João Pedro Rodrigues in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. João Pedro Rodrigues made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Marcelo van Beek sent off a good shot on target. João Pedro Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ken Goffeyn in the 28th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Joinville United - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Amaral. Marcelo van Beek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Joinville United - FSCMZ! João Pedro Rodrigues had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Fabrice Bracke's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Marcelo van Beek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Pedro Rodrigues was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcelo van Beek showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 45 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The wind increased when Serafim Paraíba made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Joinville United - FSCMZ's zone, Marcelo van Beek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Pedro Rodrigues came out of the goal and Marcelo van Beek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Beek City booed when Joinville United - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56thth minute of the game Marcelo van Beek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Joinville United - FSCMZ's João Pedro Rodrigues was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. João Pedro Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ken Goffeyn in the 57th minute of the match. Beek City's Marcelo van Beek got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joinville United - FSCMZ's João Pedro Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo van Beek in the 64th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Gijselinx came free, but João Pedro Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 71 minutes, Marcelo van Beek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beek City and the Joinville United - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Beek City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo van Beek to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Joinville United - FSCMZ defense, Marcelo van Beek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Pedro Rodrigues. The Joinville United - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Pedro Rodrigues should have stopped the shot. João Pedro Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthew Gijselinx, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matthew Gijselinx in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Pedro Rodrigues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 81 played minutes Joinville United - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Afonsinho Munhoz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrice Bracke in the 82nd minute of play forced Joinville United - FSCMZ's goalkeeper João Pedro Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gugu Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelo van Beek might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Pedro Rodrigues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelo van Beek ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 91st minute Marcelo van Beek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Pedro Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marcelo van Beek came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Beek City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo van Beek couldn't finish the play.
