After 2 played minutes SPARROWS got a freekick which was hit by Tzvyatko Trifonov. The supporters of FC Anderlecht Huachipato booed when SPARROWS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tzvyatko Trifonov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adrian Milevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jude Cruz in the 13th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, SPARROWS's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos José Opazo came free, but Adrian Milevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute Jude Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Milevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Victorio Monte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tzvyatko Trifonov in the 24th minute of play forced FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goalkeeper Serbülent Baysan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 27 played minutes FC Anderlecht Huachipato got a freekick which was hit by Ilan Tissandier. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Serbülent Baysan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grozdan Grozev in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Alexandrino Gameiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adrian Milevski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. SPARROWS's Huben Temelyotev was substituted for Tzvyatko Trifonov. Karem Ghadhanfer's late challenge caught a SPARROWS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karem Ghadhanfer helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Karem Ghadhanfer got a free kick in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benislav Bozov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Huben Temelyotev fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SPARROWS's protests and gave Huben Temelyotev a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute Carlos José Opazo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Milevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serbülent Baysan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vesko Kanin in the 58th minute. In the 59th match minute, FC Anderlecht Huachipato was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos José Opazo to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Victorio Monte made a precise shot to the right of Adrian Milevski. SPARROWS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 91st minute, Karem Ghadhanfer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vesko Kanin got free with Serbülent Baysan in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 94 minutes into the match, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goalkeeper Serbülent Baysan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Huben Temelyotev. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Anderlecht Huachipato had played much better football throughout.
