Alex Federici made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Arturo De Vito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cheeky Nuts United fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Cheeky Nuts United's Jaime Urdin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Carloforte f.c.'s Alex Federici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Urdin in the 13th minute of play. Ercole Marra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Cent Haugsvær tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Federici took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Urdin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, Cheeky Nuts United's Jaime Urdin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After 31 minutes of play, Cheeky Nuts United's Ken Nordtveit made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Federici was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arturo De Vito spun around in front of the goal 36 minutes in the game and got away a good shot, but Cent Haugsvær grabbed the ball before it went up in top right corner. Ken Nordtveit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Federici having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Cheeky Nuts United's goal looked a bit too open when Ercole Marra came free, but Cent Haugsvær reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albert Føreland hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Arturo De Vito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Cent Haugsvær made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arturo De Vito to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Carloforte f.c. got a freekick which was hit by Amedeo Orioli. A collision led to Cheeky Nuts United getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Niko Koivu hit a great ball. Cent Haugsvær took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo De Vito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ercole Marra hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. If Jaime Urdin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute Ken Nordtveit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Federici saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jaime Urdin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Alex Federici managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Cheeky Nuts United's Jaime Urdin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Carloforte f.c.'s Alex Federici proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Carloforte f.c. from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cheeky Nuts United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
