Florin Quelia made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Augusto Udalaitz sent off a good shot on target. In a very dangerous position, a player in Golden Dragón F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! Florin Quelia had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Manuel Iban's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 21st minute Edelmiro Diz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ..Villa Rugby Club..'s Rene Higuita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Diz in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, ..Villa Rugby Club..'s goal looked a bit too open when Edelmiro Diz came free, but Rene Higuita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Eron Sanez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golden Dragón F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Eron Sanez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Higuita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rene Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josu Mendibuey in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Josu Mendibuey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magdaleno Revenga hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Lucas Langoni sped through Golden Dragón F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Florin Quelia. After a rather tough play, Golden Dragón F.C's Josu Mendibuey got a free kick in the 45th minute. When Alan Gay fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ..Villa Rugby Club..'s protests and gave Alan Gay a yellow card for diving instead.

The wind increased when Josu Mendibuey made the kick off in the second half. ..Villa Rugby Club..'s Rene Higuita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eron Sanez in the 54th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Edelmiro Diz took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Rene Higuita to make any attempt to save it. If Josu Mendibuey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Golden Dragón F.C booed when ..Villa Rugby Club.. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Mateus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rene Higuita was a little too slow when Edelmiro Diz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Langoni in the 74th minute of play forced Golden Dragón F.C's goalkeeper Florin Quelia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Manuel Iban ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florin Quelia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 80 minutes into the match, Golden Dragón F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Langoni came free, but Florin Quelia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, ..Villa Rugby Club..'s goal looked a bit too open when Eron Sanez came free, but Rene Higuita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Higuita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edelmiro Diz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 95 minutes, Josu Mendibuey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golden Dragón F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josu Mendibuey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
