The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Lars Jeppesen made a precise shot to the right of Caetano Monteiro. Icoara Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Lars Jeppesen scored 0-2 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Caetano Monteiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 14 played minutes Icoara Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Rosa. In the 16th minute, Lars Jeppesen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Bergman in the 18th minute of play. Caetano Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktor Bergman in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Icoara Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Jeppesen came free, but Caetano Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson de Queirós in the 25th minute of play forced Timmernabben FF's goalkeeper Lou Moses to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Viktor Bergman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Icoara Football Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Timmernabben FF were winning 0-3.
After a rather tough play, Icoara Football Club's Genílson de Queirós got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 54 minutes, Christer Majman made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. David Groth's late challenge caught a Icoara Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Groth helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Timmernabben FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Groth to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th match minute, Icoara Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdo Lima to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Timmernabben FF's Viktor Bergman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Caetano Monteiro. Caetano Monteiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. After 71 minutes, Egídio Lucas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Icoara Football Club and the Timmernabben FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Timmernabben FF's Lou Moses played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio Lucas in the 75th minute of play. Lou Moses made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Lucas in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Carlinhos Negri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Icoara Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Timmernabben FF the free kick. In the 79th minute, Carlinhos Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caetano Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Åke Falck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Caetano Monteiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viktor Bergman. 85 minutes into the match, Icoara Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Jeppesen came free, but Caetano Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caetano Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Lindberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timmernabben FF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
