The audience thought a goal was coming when Elano Lobado got free with Dimas Camargo in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in MEXACOMX's zone, Elano Lobado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimas Camargo came out of the goal and Elano Lobado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the MEXACOMX defense, Elano Lobado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dimas Camargo. The MEXACOMX fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dimas Camargo should have stopped the shot. Dimas Camargo was a little too slow when Elano Lobado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 8-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 8-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Deportivo Ortegano made a substitution. Serafino Berria replaced Delmar Nesto. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elano Lobado was the one to do the kick off. When Sendoa Larrañaga came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Deportivo Ortegano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sendoa Larrañaga couldn't finish the play.
