Liu Zhi Guang blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kipras Gelžinis having to make a save. Lithuanian amber's Kipras Gelžinis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Lithuanian amber from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Veth Crystals's Andrea Casals slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kipras Gelžinis. That made the score 2-0 after 13 minutes of play. When Daugirdas Čižiūnas fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lithuanian amber's protests and gave Daugirdas Čižiūnas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, Daugirdas Čižiūnas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Veth Crystals's Gwidon Patora couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lithuanian amber. Aras Nutautas hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Andrea Casals fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kipras Gelžinis having to interfere. Gwidon Patora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Kipras Gelžinis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrea Casals in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kipras Gelžinis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gwidon Patora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A hard shot 31 in the game by Gwidon Patora from a close distance when the talented Kipras Gelžinis managed to make a qualified save. Lithuanian amber's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liu Zhi Guang in the 33rd minute of play forced Lithuanian amber's goalkeeper Kipras Gelžinis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Veth Crystals fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Veth Crystals's Gwidon Patora looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Gwidon Patora managed to get in a good position for a shot. Veth Crystals's supporters rose to their feet, but Gwidon Patora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kipras Gelžinis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute, Liu Zhi Guang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Marius Naujokas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 43 minutes, Gwidon Patora made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Lithuanian amber's Kipras Gelžinis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gwidon Patora made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Lithuanian amber's goal looked a bit too open when Andrea Casals came free, but Kipras Gelžinis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Raul Loramendi came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Veth Crystals fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Loramendi couldn't finish the play. Kipras Gelžinis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gwidon Patora in the 58th minute of the match. Andrea Casals struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Kipras Gelžinis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Veth Crystals. In the 61st minute, Gwidon Patora made a precise shot to the right of Kipras Gelžinis. Lithuanian amber's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Veth Crystals made a substitution. Ludomir Radzyminski replaced Nedas Jameikis. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marian Domeradzki during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liu Zhi Guang in the 73rd minute of play forced Lithuanian amber's goalkeeper Kipras Gelžinis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lithuanian amber's Kipras Gelžinis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwidon Patora in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute of the match Veth Crystals got a corner. Lithuanian amber's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gwidon Patora ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Gwidon Patora almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lithuanian amber's Kipras Gelžinis did a great save. The attack was good, but when Raul Loramendi in the 77th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Lithuanian amber's Marius Naujokas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tiburcio Jakue. That made the score 7-1 after 79 minutes of play. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 8-1 when Gwidon Patora sped through Lithuanian amber's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kipras Gelžinis. Kipras Gelžinis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbigniew Wierzbicki in the 89th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gwidon Patora in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kipras Gelžinis saved Lithuanian amber from getting behind. Veth Crystals's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
