The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Mainumby:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jukatriz:s goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Mainumby's Armando Beltza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oséas de Lima. That made the score 1-2 after 33 minutes of play. In the 36th minute Isaac Urtungo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oséas de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Jukatriz's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Beltza came free, but Oséas de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Vargas kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Oséas de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Beltza in the 45th minute of play. When Jânio Barral fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jukatriz's protests and gave Jânio Barral a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Jukatriz got a freekick which was hit by Jânio Barral. Oséas de Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Beltza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Mainumby's Cristian Elequemedo was substituted for Bernardo Benet. Mainumby's Cipriano Iraitz was substituted for Tomás Pepillo. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorian Freitas was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Jukatriz got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor Paraibano. Gerardo Oinatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Jukatriz booed when Mainumby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Beltza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Jukatriz's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Beltza came free, but Oséas de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 92 minutes on the clock, Nuno Pirani commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card.
