The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Blair Lusk recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paulo Txatxu. Blair Lusk showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 10th minute of the match, Willie Vogt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paulo Txatxu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Nestor Chap had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sidney Staton during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Racing Miami Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Staton to maneuver through the defense. Franco Di Giambattista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Sotil, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 20 minutes, Ignacio Ignatius mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Q. T. I. and the Racing Miami Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ignacio Ignatius hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Paulo Txatxu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blair Lusk's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. A collision led to Racing Miami Futbol Club getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Sidney Staton hit a great ball. Q. T. I.'s Paulo Txatxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnathan Valle in the 38th minute of play. After 39 minutes of play Q. T. I.'s Ignacio Ignatius was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 40th match minute, Q. T. I. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Ignatius to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Q. T. I.'s Paulo Txatxu got control of the ball when Johnathan Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Genaro Cassidy was substituted for Johnathan Valle. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Jackson Shipley was substituted for Blair Lusk. Q. T. I.'s Rodrigo Cruz was substituted for Lázaro Haitz. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Jackson Shipley made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Racing Miami Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Farris to maneuver through the defense. Franco Di Giambattista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Macerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 63rd minute, Genaro Cassidy made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Txatxu. Q. T. I.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Cassidy in the 67th minute of play forced Q. T. I.'s goalkeeper Paulo Txatxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Txatxu came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Racing Miami Futbol Club's Genaro Cassidy. But to his dismay, Genaro Cassidy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Q. T. I. made a substitution. Jaime Menendo replaced German Veto. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Q. T. I.! Q. T. I.'s Paulo Txatxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Cassidy in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Genaro Cassidy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Txatxu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Nestor Chap managed to get in a good position for a shot. Q. T. I.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Chap was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco Di Giambattista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Q. T. I. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Racing Miami Futbol Club.
