Arnoldo Gabrio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jesper Vollander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Dionisia's Arnoldo Gabrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Cena in the 22nd minute of play. If Fabian Milio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teofilo Distiratsu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. In the 29th minute, one of Dionisia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dionisia. Jesper Vollander scored 1-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnoldo Gabrio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ZigZag Athletic's Teofilo Distiratsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Sugar in the 40th minute of play. Adan Elequemedo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Arnoldo Gabrio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesper Vollander in the 43rd minute of the match. Adan Elequemedo charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adan Elequemedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Dionisia's Adan Elequemedo got a free kick in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gösta Messi to make the kick off. ZigZag Athletic's Zhuang Gang Peng managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Adan Elequemedo in the 50 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jesper Vollander got free with Arnoldo Gabrio in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of ZigZag Athletic booed when Dionisia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adan Elequemedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Dionisia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnoldo Gabrio should have stopped the shot. Dionisia's Arnoldo Gabrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesper Vollander in the 76th minute of play. Jesper Vollander blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnoldo Gabrio having to make a save. Dionisia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that August Hökkvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. The audience was convinced that August Hökkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnoldo Gabrio was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. August Hökkvist had several of the Dionisia's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 96 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-5 score and a disappointed Arnoldo Gabrio as he didn't even see the shot coming. The ZigZag Athletic supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ZigZag Athletic would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
