After 4 minutes, Andrea Uguccioni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glasgow Rangers FC and the Loja S.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Loja S.C. booed when Glasgow Rangers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrea Uguccioni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Loja S.C.'s Fidel Lecea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobald Barciniak in the 8th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Teobald Barciniak made a precise shot to the right of Fidel Lecea. Loja S.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Felix Pascua could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Ferdinando Andreoli made a huge save. Teobald Barciniak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fidel Lecea having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobald Barciniak in the 27th minute of play forced Loja S.C.'s goalkeeper Fidel Lecea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute Teobald Barciniak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Lecea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Glasgow Rangers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Urtun Baldaliso came free, but Ferdinando Andreoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 34th minute of the game was made by Isaias Mobilla with Vachon Secada as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Norberto Satordi kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 45 minutes into the game, Teobald Barciniak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Fidel Lecea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Veronica Sabugo made a kick off. When Fulvio Di Federico fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glasgow Rangers FC's protests and gave Fulvio Di Federico a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Loja S.C. booed when Glasgow Rangers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulvio Di Federico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodrigo Berastegui hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Teobald Barciniak took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fidel Lecea. Fidel Lecea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. With a little luck, Loja S.C.'s Fidel Lecea got control of the ball when Teobald Barciniak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teobald Barciniak took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fidel Lecea. Fidel Lecea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. With a little luck, Loja S.C.'s Fidel Lecea got control of the ball when Teobald Barciniak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fidel Lecea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Maurizi in the 66th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Loja S.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! In the 73rd minute, the referee gave Glasgow Rangers FC a penalty. Alex Salerno looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Fidel Lecea. Fidel Lecea made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Cesare Di Cola sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute, Urtun Baldaliso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Pascua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ferdinando Andreoli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Pascua's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferdinando Andreoli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Teobald Barciniak in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fidel Lecea, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Loja S.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Glasgow Rangers FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Glasgow Rangers FC.
