Eleuterio Sotil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Artur Sterckmans having to make a save. After a rather tough play, KV Schoonwater's Perry Huygens got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 14th minute of the match, Eleuterio Sotil got a very nice opportunity to score, but Artur Sterckmans was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 15th match minute, Bicicleta F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filippo Degrassi to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Gillis Lembrechts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Roderigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Bicicleta F.C. booed when KV Schoonwater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gillis Lembrechts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eleuterio Sotils short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Artur Sterckmans to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 21st minute Bicicleta F.C. were awarded a corner. Beppe Romagnoli went to the cornerflag to take it. Artur Sterckmans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filippo Degrassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Bicicleta F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gillis Lembrechts came free, but Fausto Roderigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Filippo Degrassi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bicicleta F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KV Schoonwater the free kick. KV Schoonwater's Artur Sterckmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filippo Degrassi in the 35th minute of play. If Maxime Caes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregorie Kloots missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 42 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Fausto Roderigo right hand side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eleuterio Sotil was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in KV Schoonwater's zone, Filippo Degrassi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Sterckmans came out of the goal and Filippo Degrassi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Eleuterio Sotil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artur Sterckmans was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Bicicleta F.C. made a substitution. Cristobal Blasi replaced Teodoro Naldo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Feliu in the 62nd minute of play forced KV Schoonwater's goalkeeper Artur Sterckmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to KV Schoonwater getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Perry Huygens hit a great ball. Bicicleta F.C.'s Arnulfo Domeka was substituted for Mateo Batista. In the 73rd minute, Eleuterio Sotil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artur Sterckmans was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Artur Sterckmans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Feliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Artur Sterckmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Domeka in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Eleuterio Sotil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bicicleta F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Eleuterio Sotil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Sterckmans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute Eleuterio Sotil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Sterckmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Sterckmans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Segundo Feliu's shot from short distance in the 88th minute.
