The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dave Valeriani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celedonio Kinsen in the 3rd minute of the match. After 4 minutes, Ezequiel Fernández mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting de Gijón and the Farafulla FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball had pretty good speed, but Desiderio Frederik firmly grabbed it by the left post. Farafulla FC's Dave Valeriani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas-Armando Giunta in the 6th minute of play. Dave Valeriani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas-Armando Giunta, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Amedeo Ruggeri hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After 11 played minutes Sporting de Gijón got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Panpili. After a rather tough play, Farafulla FC's Ciro Tacco got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Cristian Medina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessandro Mazzetti took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Desiderio Frederik. Desiderio Frederik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Desiderio Frederik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Mazzetti in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Kinsen in the 25th minute of play forced Farafulla FC's goalkeeper Dave Valeriani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Blas-Armando Giunta notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Farafulla FC's Dave Valeriani. Dave Valeriani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 43rd minute Anfilogino Benvenuto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Frederik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
