Simon Cesario hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Desiderio Frederik made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Ernie Ball sent off a good shot on target. Ernie Ball scored 1-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Desiderio Frederik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Desiderio Frederik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernie Ball went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Ernie Ball kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. With his leg Desiderio Frederik managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Ernie Ball fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Desiderio Frederik was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Diego Tristan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 35 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sporting de Gijón's Simon Cesario got a free kick in the 38th minute. Desiderio Frederik made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Ernie Ball sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute, Gustavo Quintin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sporting de Gijón's Desiderio Frederik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting de Gijón from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnoldo Ubarna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ernie Ball's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Desiderio Frederik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Ernie Ball came free, but Desiderio Frederik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Arnoldo Ubarna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting de Gijón's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Ubarna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angel Comizzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute, Diego Tristan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sporting de Gijón's Desiderio Frederik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernie Ball in the 64th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Ernie Ball nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Desiderio Frederik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernie Ball in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Desiderio Frederik saved Sporting de Gijón from getting behind. Desiderio Frederik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernie Ball, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting de Gijón's zone, Ernie Ball stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Desiderio Frederik came out of the goal and Ernie Ball tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Desiderio Frederik didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Diego Tristan shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-0 in the ordered_time% minute. 84 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Ernie Ball came free, but Desiderio Frederik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sporting de Gijón's Desiderio Frederik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernie Ball in the 86th minute of play. Desiderio Frederik came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Ernie Ball. But to his dismay, Ernie Ball quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After 96 minutes Sporting de Gijón's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Renan Trancoso who took care of the corner kick. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Renan Trancoso was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Desiderio Frederik in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
