The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, Cesate's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Piermattei came free, but Fortunato Proia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sorci Viola were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Cesate's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Achille Pasquino took the corner. Fortunato Proia made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Achille Pasquino sent off a good shot on target. In the 7th minute of the match Sorci Viola got a corner. Cesate's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Achille Pasquino ran over to the corner to take the kick. Achille Pasquino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Fortunato Proia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sorci Viola's Elia Piermattei got a free kick in the 15th minute. Fortunato Proia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alvaro Prato in the 18th minute. When Cristoforo Talamo fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cesate's protests and gave Cristoforo Talamo a yellow card for diving instead. Fortunato Proia made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Alvaro Prato sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Cesate getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Donato Santoro hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elia Piermattei in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fortunato Proia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With 29 minutes on the clock, Anthony Scevola commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sorci Viola fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! In the 30th minute there was a penalty for Cesate. Adriano Di Marco stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Domenico Sabatino. 0-1. After 36 minutes, Alvaro Prato made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cesate's Fortunato Proia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alvaro Prato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Proia having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Domenico Sabatino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Palermo in the 56th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cesate's zone, Damiano Montini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fortunato Proia came out of the goal and Damiano Montini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fortunato Proia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Prato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Alvaro Prato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damiano Montini in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fortunato Proia saved Cesate from getting behind. Fortunato Proia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Achille Pasquino in the 70th minute of the match. After 72 minutes, Dario Palermo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cesate and the Sorci Viola players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dario Palermo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Fortunato Proia came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Sorci Viola's Alvaro Prato. But to his dismay, Alvaro Prato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Damiano Montini kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. If Alvaro Prato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortunato Proia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Prato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Damiano Montini came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Sorci Viola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damiano Montini couldn't finish the play. After having played for 93 minutes, Alvaro Prato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorci Viola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvaro Prato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Damiano Montini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Fortunato Proia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Sorci Viola were the better team. Sorci Viola's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
