The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fortunato Proia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. When Demetrio Borrelli fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cesate's protests and gave Demetrio Borrelli a yellow card for diving instead. Deivid Cavalcante took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fortunato Proia. Fortunato Proia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 15th minute, Edson Mendes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fortunato Proia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After a rather tough play, Cesate's Carlo Cirulli got a free kick in the 18th minute. Fortunato Proia was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Edson Mendes. Deivid Cavalcantes short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Fortunato Proia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Cesate getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ennio Grasso hit a great ball. After 33 minutes of play, Olivedos's Dário Viana made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fortunato Proia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Patrick Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ennio Grasso in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42ndth minute of the game Edson Mendes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cesate's Fortunato Proia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Olivedos booed when Cesate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eraldo Di Matteo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Demetrio Borrelli to make the kick off. Fortunato Proia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st match minute, Olivedos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Prata to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the match, Deivid Cavalcante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fortunato Proia. Cesate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deivid Cavalcante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Demetrio Borrelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Patrick Miranda made a huge save. In the 73rd match minute, Olivedos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Augusto de Barros to maneuver through the defense. Patrick Miranda made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Adriano Di Marco sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Patrick Miranda managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Cesate's Donato Di Renzo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Valdemar Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Deivid Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd match minute, Olivedos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid Cavalcante to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Olivedos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cesate had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
