The audience thought a goal was coming when Ennio Grasso got free with Kajetan Turak in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Tytus Zieba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 46 minutes into the match, Eugeniusz Sokolski notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Cesate's Fortunato Proia. Fortunato Proia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Cesate's Fortunato Proia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Cesate from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Twierdza Wroclaw's Eugeniusz Sokolski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fortunato Proia. That made the score 1-2 after 52 minutes of play. Cesate's Donato Di Renzo got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Tytus Zieba reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fortunato Proia. The goal made the score 1-3. Kajetan Turak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eraldo Di Matteo, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Kajetan Turak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ennio Grasso in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio Grasso in the 88th minute of play forced Twierdza Wroclaw's goalkeeper Kajetan Turak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugeniusz Sokolski in the 93rd minute of play forced Cesate's goalkeeper Fortunato Proia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Cesate supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Twierdza Wroclaw's performance. The match ended with a win for Twierdza Wroclaw.
