The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yala's Yassine Bounou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Wållander in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Wållander in the 14th minute of play forced Yala's goalkeeper Yassine Bounou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charlie Kleen had great luck who in the 18thth minute grab hold of the ball when Niki Bundev from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Charlie Kleen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niki Bundev in the 19th minute of play. Omar Montes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Kleen having to interfere. Yassine Bounou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Wållander in the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niki Bundev made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Jordan F1 91-05 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olof Söderquist to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute, Niki Bundev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yala's Moises Bermund got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niki Bundev in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charlie Kleen saved Jordan F1 91-05 from getting behind.
