Giovanni de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Delfino, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. The supporters of Minotauro booed when Unidad de Matanza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Henric didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gervasio Galo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Delfino in the 10th minute of play forced Minotauro's goalkeeper Giovanni de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giovanni de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Rios in the 14th minute of play. Reynaldo Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni de Toledo having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goal looked a bit too open when Segundo Delfino came free, but Giovanni de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovanni de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Rios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the game, Unidad de Matanza's Luciano Elivareo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giovanni de Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Giovanni de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervasio Galo in the 23rd minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
