Everardo Anaya started the match with the kick off. Joselito Quiroga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octav Molodețiu having to interfere. Braulio Lawrence kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Octav Molodețiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionel Zărnescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Everardo Anaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Pere fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agapito Blanco having to interfere. In the 13th minute Everardo Anaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agapito Blanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Solo in the 16th minute of play forced Berutti FC's goalkeeper Octav Molodețiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When FCSB CUENCA's Bernardo Solo in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Berutti FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, FCSB CUENCA's Joselito Quiroga got a free kick in the 21st minute. Agapito Blanco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Truylos in the 31st minute. Octav Molodețiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionel Zărnescu in the 36th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Berutti FC's Gabriel Pere got a free kick in the 37th minute. Octav Molodețiu came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by FCSB CUENCA's Bernardo Solo. But to his dismay, Bernardo Solo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 48th minute, Bernardo Solo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FCSB CUENCA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Octav Molodețiu was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Ionel Zărnescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ionel Zărnescu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. In the 64th minute, Ionel Zărnescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FCSB CUENCA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 70th minute FCSB CUENCA were awarded a corner. Ionel Zărnescu went to the cornerflag to take it. FCSB CUENCA's Ionel Zărnescu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Octav Molodețiu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Gabriel Pere fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Berutti FC's protests and gave Gabriel Pere a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Berutti FC's Gabriel Pere got a free kick in the 71st minute. Berutti FC's Octav Molodețiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Solo in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of Berutti FC booed when FCSB CUENCA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joselito Quiroga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Berutti FC! Octav Molodețiu had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Ionel Zărnescu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 84th minute, Felix Zărnescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agapito Blanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Pere in the 87th minute of play. FCSB CUENCA's Ionel Zărnescu got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 100th minute the ball was on its way in behind FCSB CUENCA's goalkeeper Agapito Blanco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FCSB CUENCA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
