The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nistor Porumbescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josué da Cunha in the 2nd minute of the match. When Horácio Pires fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored REAL RIO CRVG's protests and gave Horácio Pires a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club 23 booed when REAL RIO CRVG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bogdan Bogdanović came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Club 23 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bogdan Bogdanović couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Piszczor in the 15th minute of play forced REAL RIO CRVG's goalkeeper Percival Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind REAL RIO CRVG's goalkeeper Percival Prestes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, REAL RIO CRVG's goalkeeper Percival Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrian Ştoia. Durvalino Sarmento's late challenge caught a Club 23's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Durvalino Sarmento helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, REAL RIO CRVG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durvalino Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. Percival Prestes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmund Piszczor went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, REAL RIO CRVG's Horácio Pires got a free kick in the 29th minute. Club 23's Anuhrada Sandhar shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 30th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Percival Prestes but with some difficulty. Percival Prestes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marin Ciulei in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the game, Edmund Piszczor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club 23's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave REAL RIO CRVG the free kick. REAL RIO CRVG's Percival Prestes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save REAL RIO CRVG from getting a goal against them. REAL RIO CRVG's Pedrão Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Club 23's Bogdan Bogdanović ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Percival Prestes. Percival Prestes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Percival Prestes made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Marin Ciulei sent off a good shot on target.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedrão Souza made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Bogdan Bogdanović notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of REAL RIO CRVG's Percival Prestes. Percival Prestes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 55th minute, Durvalino Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Club 23's Nistor Porumbescu got control of the ball when Natã Nogueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Percival Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Bogdanović in the 58th minute of the match. Percival Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Bogdanović, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute.
