But to his dismay, Marin Ciulei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Ciulei in the 11th minute of play forced Buenaventura FC's goalkeeper Leonidas Barrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Buenaventura FC's Leonidas Barrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Bogdanović in the 13th minute of play. Leonidas Barrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Bogdanović in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Bogdan Bogdanović made a precise shot to the right of Leonidas Barrera. Buenaventura FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. A collision led to Club 23 getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Marin Ciulei hit a great ball. The supporters of Buenaventura FC booed when Club 23 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmund Piszczor didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felipe Gil to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg Leonidas Barrera managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Club 23's Bogdan Bogdanović fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Leonidas Barrera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmund Piszczor's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Romel Torrijos hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Buenaventura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmund Piszczor came free, but Leonidas Barrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rafael Posam fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buenaventura FC's protests and gave Rafael Posam a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Buenaventura FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Posam. Bogdan Bogdanović could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Leonidas Barrera made a huge save. In the 63rd match minute, Buenaventura FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomaso De Diego to maneuver through the defense. Leonidas Barrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmund Piszczor in the 65th minute of the match. Buenaventura FC's Leonidas Barrera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Buenaventura FC from getting a goal against them. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Buenaventura FC's goalkeeper Leonidas Barrera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leonidas Barrera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bogdan Bogdanović's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. When Ferdinand Voicu came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Club 23 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdinand Voicu couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Club 23's Bogdan Bogdanović got a free kick in the 90th minute. Leonidas Barrera was a little too slow when Bogdan Bogdanović got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 0-7. When the match was over Club 23 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Buenaventura FC throughout the match.
