Caxias do Sul's Iuri Paranaense slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Michal Bodlák. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. 13 minutes into the game, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Juan Sorin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michal Bodlák made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The long shot by Iuri Paranaense in the 17th minute really tested Michal Bodlák's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 19 minutes, Jonas Veloso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.E.R. Caxias do Sul and the FC Jamala players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jonas Veloso hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. FC Jamala's Michal Bodlák proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save FC Jamala from getting a goal against them. João Carlos Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Juan Sorin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michal Bodlák was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Vitor José showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Pluhař in the 35th minute of the match. Juan Sorin scored 4-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michal Bodlák, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute, João Carlos Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Dráb in the 41st minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Vitor José to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. René Dobrý's late challenge caught a S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. René Dobrý helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Jamala's René Dobrý got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute of the match, Juan Sorin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Michal Bodlák saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

A hard shot by Leopold Zelenka from long distance, 52 minutes into the match, got Vitor José's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Vitor José made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Dráb in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Jonas Veloso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. S.E.R. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Jamala had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
