A collision led to FC Draconia getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Teo De Kelper hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Melquiades Rodriguez made a precise shot to the right of Uwe Nwachukwu. FC Draconia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Kristof Van Dessen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Melquiades Rodriguez took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uwe Nwachukwu. Uwe Nwachukwu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in FC Draconia's zone, Melquiades Rodriguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uwe Nwachukwu came out of the goal and Melquiades Rodriguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the game, Melquiades Rodriguez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Uwe Nwachukwu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Etienne Langhmans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Klaus Dhondt hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match.
