After 6 played minutes SK Dreigoten got a freekick which was hit by Per Qvalfeldt. With a little luck, SK Dreigoten's Jo Maerschalcx got control of the ball when Radowit Hetman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erik Stordal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Jo Maerschalcx made a huge save. AEK FC were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after SK Dreigoten's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Erik Stordal took the corner. Luukas Van Halbeeck kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Israel Petri kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jo Maerschalcx. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. In the 13th match minute, SK Dreigoten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lex Haesevoets to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Erik Stordal sped through SK Dreigoten's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jo Maerschalcx. Radowit Hetman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, AEK FC's Abdi Malkoçoğlu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jo Maerschalcx. Jo Maerschalcx yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. With his leg Jo Maerschalcx managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when AEK FC's Radowit Hetman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 25 minutes into the game, Stef De Weijngaert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SK Dreigoten's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AEK FC the free kick. Radowit Hetman took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jo Maerschalcx. Jo Maerschalcx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Finn Eidsvåg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cedric Van Landewijck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SK Dreigoten's Jo Maerschalcx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by J.J Boss in the 35th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Radowit Hetman got free with Jo Maerschalcx in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jo Maerschalcx made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Radowit Hetman sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdi Malkoçoğlu got free with Jo Maerschalcx in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jules Van Beringhen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erik Stordal took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jo Maerschalcx. Jo Maerschalcx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luukas Van Halbeeck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jo Maerschalcx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Stordal in the 60th minute of play. After 60 played minutes SK Dreigoten got a freekick which was hit by Elias Van de Velde. Jo Maerschalcx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Stordal in the 74th minute of play. J.J Boss lost his temper 76 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, AEK FC's J.J Boss got a free kick in the 77th minute. 83 minutes into the match, SK Dreigoten's goal looked a bit too open when Abdi Malkoçoğlu came free, but Jo Maerschalcx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, SK Dreigoten's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Stordal came free, but Jo Maerschalcx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Stordal in the 96th minute of play forced SK Dreigoten's goalkeeper Jo Maerschalcx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AEK FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while SK Dreigoten had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
