After 52 played minutes Atletico Benevento got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Bobbio. Armando Pacella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Murillo Cabral made a huge save. In the 84th minute of the match Atletico Benevento got a corner. BOTAFOGO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ruy Nóbrega ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ruy Nóbrega made a great header on Atletico Benevento's corner, it was just that BOTAFOGO's Murillo Cabral managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in BOTAFOGO's zone, Armando Pacella stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murillo Cabral came out of the goal and Armando Pacella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leopoldo Maties was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 90 minutes of play, Atletico Benevento's Leopoldo Maties made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Murillo Cabral was left in no man's land by his defense there! BOTAFOGO's Murillo Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Pacella in the 94th minute of play.
