When Gunther Schößler fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rot-Weiss-Essen's protests and gave Gunther Schößler a yellow card for diving instead. Uwe Ziege stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Goos's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Iker Carabajal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Mokros in the 18th minute of play. With his leg Uwe Ziege managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Purple Talents's Diego Goos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Uwe Ziege came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Purple Talents's Diego Goos. But to his dismay, Diego Goos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Iker Carabajal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sascha Andre Rennert, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Uwe Ziege, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dylan Robin was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Dylan Robin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Uwe Ziege was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 56th minute, Dylan Robin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uwe Ziege was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Iker Carabajal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Claus in the 63rd minute of the match. After 71 minutes, Diego Goos made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Purple Talents's Iker Carabajal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Purple Talents from getting a goal against them. Tiradet Do Bonde hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute of the match Elmar Assing sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iker Carabajal skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sascha Andre Rennert got free with Iker Carabajal in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rot-Weiss-Essen! Uwe Ziege didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Goos went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. In the 87th minute Diego Goos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Ziege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasco Jackisch to maneuver through the defense. After 91 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Vasco Jackisch. Diego Weets's late challenge caught a Rot-Weiss-Essen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Weets helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th match minute, Purple Talents was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Weets to maneuver through the defense. Purple Talents were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rot-Weiss-Essen for a fine match.
