Besart Toto hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the game, Mick Badurina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Wil 1900's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Atlanta the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Cleto Ferran managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Atlanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Cleto Ferran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yanic Kulenovic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the game, C. A. Atlanta's Jonathan Eli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yanic Kulenovic made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Yanic Kulenovic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleto Ferran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute Roland Cirella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Kismi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 played minutes FC Wil 1900 got a freekick which was hit by Tran Brünisholz. Jonathan Eli came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Yanic Kulenovic could save by the left post. When Iker Dolfos fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Atlanta's protests and gave Iker Dolfos a yellow card for diving instead. Iker Dolfos hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Jonathan Eli reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Yanic Kulenovic. The goal made the score 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in FC Wil 1900's zone, Jonathan Eli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yanic Kulenovic came out of the goal and Jonathan Eli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cleto Ferran to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roberto Birchler during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 52 played minutes FC Wil 1900 got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Birchler. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cleto Ferran in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yanic Kulenovic prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55thth minute of the game Cleto Ferran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Wil 1900's Yanic Kulenovic was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to FC Wil 1900 getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Roland Cirella hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Cleto Ferran sped through FC Wil 1900's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Yanic Kulenovic. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Arnoldo Kismi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 66 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when Cleto Ferran came free, but Yanic Kulenovic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Reinhard Eichel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Wil 1900's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Atlanta the free kick. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Roland Cirella took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Arnoldo Kismi to make any attempt to save it. After 74 played minutes FC Wil 1900 got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Birchler. 76 minutes into the game, Jonathan Eli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Yanic Kulenovic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 81 minutes into the game, FC Wil 1900's Karim Gerber nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnoldo Kismi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. Yanic Kulenovic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Eli in the 86th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, C. A. Atlanta could leave the field as winners, despite FC Wil 1900 having more of the ball for most of the match.
