Jesus Librado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Sergio Gutierrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gerardo Bibiano fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Loco De Remate's protests and gave Gerardo Bibiano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ booed when Loco De Remate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Bibiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zheko Kraychev got free with Samuel Mancio in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sergio Gutierrez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Orlanda, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Jesus Librado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sergio Gutierrez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Jon Birkfeld fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s protests and gave Jon Birkfeld a yellow card for diving instead. Jon Birkfeld kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Alvaro Resto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sergio Gutierrez. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Loco De Remate getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Alvaro Resto hit a great ball. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ made a substitution. Lambis Kostopoulos replaced Humberto Moscoso. Alvaro Resto kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Loco De Remate's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Diómedes Rodriguez scored to the left of an out of position Samuel Mancio, making the score, 1-1. After 41 played minutes Diómedes Rodriguez rounded Loco De Remate's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. In the 48th minute Jesus Librado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Gutierrez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Ramos was the one to do the kick off. Diómedes Rodriguez took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuel Mancio. Samuel Mancio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diómedes Rodriguez in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Mancio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute, José Ramos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuel Mancio was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Sergio Gutierrez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ from getting a goal against them. Diómedes Rodriguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 75 minutes into the game, Gaston Mogel threw the ball into play from the sideline. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Miguel Pimentel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Miguel Pimentel might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuel Mancio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Pimentel ran back to his position shaking his head. 77 minutes into the game, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Diómedes Rodriguez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samuel Mancio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. If José Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Loco De Remate's Jose Lopez got a free kick in the 82nd minute. When José Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Ramos couldn't finish the play. Gavino Tabor hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After having played for 85 minutes, José Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s supporters crossed their fingers, but José Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Diómedes Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 87 minutes into the match, Loco De Remate's goal looked a bit too open when Diómedes Rodriguez came free, but Samuel Mancio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergio Gutierrez made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Gerardo Bibiano sent off a good shot on target. Miguel Pimentel hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Sergio Gutierrez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Orlanda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
