In the 7th minute, Godfredo Xabel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Belarmo Campelo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Belarmo Campelo came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by POSSE 1911 FC's Godfredo Xabel. But to his dismay, Godfredo Xabel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Benvide Cercalde might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Feliberto Gaskon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benvide Cercalde ran back to his position shaking his head. POSSE 1911 FC's Feliberto Gaskon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasio Severino in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, POSSE 1911 FC's Godfredo Xabel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Belarmo Campelo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Ernesto Barrionuevo's late challenge caught a RAMBO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Barrionuevo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th match minute, POSSE 1911 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Barrionuevo to maneuver through the defense. Godfredo Xabel took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Belarmo Campelo. Belarmo Campelo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. When Anastasio Severino fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RAMBO FC's protests and gave Anastasio Severino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, RAMBO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Severino to maneuver through the defense. After 39 minutes of play RAMBO FC's Anastasio Severino was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to RAMBO FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Anastasio Severino hit a great ball. Ernesto Barrionuevo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Xabel in the 46th minute of play forced RAMBO FC's goalkeeper Belarmo Campelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Zeledon Madaleno made the kick off in the second half. Godfredo Xabel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Belarmo Campelo having to make a save. Godfredo Xabel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Belarmo Campelo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Ernesto Barrionuevo hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. POSSE 1911 FC's Feliberto Gaskon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benvide Cercalde in the 59th minute of play. After 62 played minutes POSSE 1911 FC got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Honesto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Madaleno in the 76th minute of play forced RAMBO FC's goalkeeper Belarmo Campelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to RAMBO FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Polo Laime hit a great ball. Godfredo Xabel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Belarmo Campelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belarmo Campelo came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by POSSE 1911 FC's Godfredo Xabel. But to his dismay, Godfredo Xabel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. RAMBO FC's Belarmo Campelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Madaleno in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Benvide Cercalde managed to get in a good position for a shot. RAMBO FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benvide Cercalde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feliberto Gaskon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zeledon Madaleno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Belarmo Campelo having to make a save. 91 minutes into the game, POSSE 1911 FC's Godfredo Xabel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The POSSE 1911 FC fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when POSSE 1911 FC's Godfredo Xabel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The POSSE 1911 FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing POSSE 1911 FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
