To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Momentum FC's goalkeeper Sergio Goycochea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Joxa mé trasan's Fred Flinta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sergio Goycochea. Sergio Goycochea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Momentum FC's Rando Raudsoo got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benne Konkel hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Joxa mé trasan's Benne Konkel quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bernardo Ihintza, made in the 47th minute of the game.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Modesto Kaiet to make the kick off.
