The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maicon de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Teodoro Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After 11 minutes Jovens Democratas MZC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leonardo Pernambucano who took care of the corner kick. Frank Scarcella might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodoro Santana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Scarcella ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 19th minute, Leonardo Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodoro Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Scarcella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Scarcella might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodoro Santana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Scarcella ran back to his position shaking his head. 23 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's Frank Scarcella sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodoro Santana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Murillo Pinho made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Borys Soliwoda sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd minute of the match Leripe Lifestyle got a corner. Jovens Democratas MZC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonardo Pernambucano ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Leripe Lifestyle's corner Leonardo Pernambucano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Murillo Pinho quite easily take care of the ball. In the 35th minute, Mexhit Koçi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodoro Santana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Scarcella's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdir Cabral during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Leripe Lifestyle's Valdir Cabral got a free kick in the 39th minute. Frank Scarcella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leonardo Pernambucano hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, Leripe Lifestyle's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo de Godoi came free, but Teodoro Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Jovens Democratas MZC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Frank Scarcella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teodoro Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Scarcella, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leripe Lifestyle's goalkeeper Teodoro Santana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Jovens Democratas MZC's Frank Scarcella ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Teodoro Santana. Teodoro Santana yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. When Erasmo de Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Jovens Democratas MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erasmo de Godoi couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd minute of the match, Erasmo de Godoi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Teodoro Santana was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Leripe Lifestyle made a substitution. Bebeto Bala replaced Borys Soliwoda. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Leripe Lifestyle's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gilson Barros was slow to take the kick. During this time Jovens Democratas MZC's players had a chance to rest. Bebeto Bala's late challenge caught a Jovens Democratas MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bebeto Bala helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes Leripe Lifestyle got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Bala. The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when Leripe Lifestyle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bebeto Bala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodriguinho Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leripe Lifestyle's Humberto Figueiredo was substituted for Paulo Fernandez. When Ringo Bonavent fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leripe Lifestyle's protests and gave Ringo Bonavent a yellow card for diving instead. Jovens Democratas MZC's Rodriguinho Vander came free and shot a quick shot against goal 87 minutes in the game, fortunately Teodoro Santana had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Rodriguinho Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Leripe Lifestyle's Sam Huveneers got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Erasmo de Godoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teodoro Santana having to make a save. The Jovens Democratas MZC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
