The audience thought a goal was coming when Absalon Domini got free with Jyrki Rajamäki in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the game, Jari Lehtinen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Thorkild Plougmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th minute Jari Lehtinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thorkild Plougmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Palloketut getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Salomon Itäluoma hit a great ball. Absalon Domini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Sletteenge's Askild Farquhar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jyrki Rajamäki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 71 minutes into the match, Palloketut's goal looked a bit too open when Askild Farquhar came free, but Jyrki Rajamäki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Absalon Domini in the 76th minute of play forced Palloketut's goalkeeper Jyrki Rajamäki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Jari Lehtinen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palloketut's supporters rose to their feet, but Jari Lehtinen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thorkild Plougmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sletteenge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Jari Lehtinen scored to the left of an out of position Thorkild Plougmann, making the score, 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valther Fønsskov in the 85th minute of play forced Palloketut's goalkeeper Jyrki Rajamäki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Valther Fønsskov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jyrki Rajamäki was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. If Askild Farquhar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sletteenge booed when Palloketut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jari Lehtinen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Palloketut's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
