With his leg Enrique Lekubegi managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when ADCR Loreto United FC's Almiro Casado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 22nd minute, Alexandre Anjos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hilário Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Gaufred in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Vítor Dantas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enrique Lekubegi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Enrique Lekubegi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Donato Gago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Palermo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Aldo Mourinho 36 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. 41 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Dantas came free, but Enrique Lekubegi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, ADCR Loreto United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Gago to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in ADCR Loreto United FC's zone, Donato Vachon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilário Salgado came out of the goal and Donato Vachon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Enrique Lekubegi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Almiro Casado, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Almiro Casado in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrique Lekubegi saved Palermo from getting behind. Enrique Lekubegi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Dantas in the 69th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Donato Gago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Dantas in the 72nd minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Enrique Lekubegi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Anibal Fernendo fired a really elegant long shot, but Hilário Salgado threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Gaufred in the 76th minute of play forced ADCR Loreto United FC's goalkeeper Hilário Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicanor Gaufred could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Hilário Salgado made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anibal Fernendo during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anibal Fernendo hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Vítor Dantas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Lekubegi was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Enrique Lekubegi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Donato Gago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
