Carlos Pires's late challenge caught a Branco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Pires helped the player get up and apologised. Hilário Salgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sotiris Vergos in the 5th minute. With a little luck, ADCR Loreto United FC's Hilário Salgado got control of the ball when Geronimo Satordi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, ADCR Loreto United FC's Alexandre Anjos got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 16th minute Sotiris Vergos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilário Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hilário Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Tonete in the 17th minute of the match. The ADCR Loreto United FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilário Salgado should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Branco FC's Sotiris Vergos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hilário Salgado. That made the score 3-0 after 38 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sotiris Vergos made a kick off. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Almiro Casado got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Hilário Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sotiris Vergos in the 55th minute of play. Donato Gago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, ADCR Loreto United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sotiris Vergos came free, but Hilário Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donato Gago during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ADCR Loreto United FC. 88 minutes into the match, ADCR Loreto United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sotiris Vergos came free, but Hilário Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th match minute, ADCR Loreto United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Dantas to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute of the match Justo Cordara sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hilário Salgado skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of ADCR Loreto United FC booed when Branco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sotiris Vergos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hilário Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eulalio Tonete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hilário Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Tonete in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Branco FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while ADCR Loreto United FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
