Paulo de Mendonça dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Paulo de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerard van den Eede, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerard van den Eede to strike the kick off in the second half. Paulo de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Izaak Achterberg in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to Rio Verde F.C CIMZ getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. But to his dismay, Izaak Achterberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cássio Pimenta during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of The Underdogs booed when Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball.
