Segundo Nuñez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Segundo Nuñez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Laurin in the 35th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Oğuzer Tun made a precise shot to the right of Segundo Nuñez. TALLERES DE CBA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. A collision led to LOI getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Sadri Tekdoğan hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in TALLERES DE CBA's zone, Bonifacio Laurin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Nuñez came out of the goal and Bonifacio Laurin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardo Perutxo was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of LOI booed when TALLERES DE CBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Cordarrel didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Laurin in the 52nd minute of play forced TALLERES DE CBA's goalkeeper Segundo Nuñez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Segundo Nuñez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Numan Tüzel, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Segundo Nuñez had in the 61stth minute some difficulties stopping Alp Yaşar's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 65th minute Aldo Cordarrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vahdet Uçanok saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, LOI's Vahdet Uçanok got control of the ball when Bernardo Perutxo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hermengildo Berenguer hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match.
