The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernesto Urtsua to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Pinhote FC's Higino Pessoa got control of the ball when Haroldo Frutos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Maravilla's Jeronimo Solustiano got a free kick in the 54th minute. Gerónimo Rulli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zezé Haaland, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Zeledon Danel's late challenge caught a Pinhote FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zeledon Danel helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Maravilla got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Danel. Gerónimo Rulli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hermenegildo Teles's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Hermenegildo Teles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gerónimo Rulli.
