The audience thought a goal was coming when Zezé Haaland got free with Lars-Erik Forsberg in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pinhote FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Severiano Prates in the 21st minute. The corner led to Pinhote FC's Hermenegildo Teles getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 35th minute, Fabrício Quaresma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lars-Erik Forsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermenegildo Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. When the match had been going on for 43 minutes, Pinhote FC's Zezé Haaland got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Lars-Erik Forsberg. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Lars-Erik Forsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márcio Antas, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The Pinhote FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 94thth minute of the game Zezé Haaland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bloodthirsty FC's Lars-Erik Forsberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Hermenegildo Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pinhote FC had played much better football throughout.
