Valentin Voicu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Valentin Voicu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan Chowaniec having to make a save. 21 minutes into the match, Los Merengues's goalkeeper Jan Chowaniec had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valentin Voicu. After a rather tough play, VILLARREAL UNITED's Valentin Voicu got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Valentin Voicu managed to get in a good position for a shot. VILLARREAL UNITED's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Voicu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Voicu couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
