Matías Patrone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Voicu in the 9th minute of the match. Matías Patrone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bennvar Trollegaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Matías Patrone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bennvar Trollegaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Lu Bin Yuan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but VILLARREAL UNITED's Baraxil Sarrate did a great save. 37 minutes into the game, Valentin Voicu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Matías Patrone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Delmar Campello hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Baraxil Sarrate was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lu Bin Yuan. Baraxil Sarrate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilano Quinten in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half VILLARREAL UNITED were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 60th minute Valentin Voicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Patrone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Los Delfines's Oliver Bierhoff nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baraxil Sarrate made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After some careless play in the Los Delfines defense, Valentin Voicu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matías Patrone. The Los Delfines fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matías Patrone should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Valentin Voicu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Matías Patrone. That made the score 1-4 in the 77 minute of play. Matías Patrone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentin Voicu's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Oliver Bierhoff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Delfines's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliver Bierhoff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 92 minutes of play, VILLARREAL UNITED's Valentin Voicu made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matías Patrone was left in no man's land by his defense there! VILLARREAL UNITED's Yusuf Kaya was substituted for Valentin Voicu. The VILLARREAL UNITED supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing VILLARREAL UNITED would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
